This is a full size two D cell batteries flight deck light measuring 15" in total length. It is not a flashlight. I use it when I walky dog in the dark and it's perfect to alert oncoming cars. It's a bit awkward due to its size, but works well. It comes with interchangeable colored lenses that are inconvenient to swap out as you need to trove the cone and the bulb structure to replace the lenses. It's okay. Not terrific, but okay.

I used these 4 years when I worked on the Flight Deck of the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71). Standard NSN GSA ISSUE Navy Wide. It can survive the workplace of a Flight Deck, it an stand up to anything an ordinary civilian throws at it.

Weak, when you put the filter on (the red one) it is very dim I will have to buy a led bulb to make it usable I should have just bought a mag light

its is great for my sun to play with but it does not come with batteries and does not tell you what batteries to put in
