Boiled them for about fifteen minutes and put them in the tank. Betta likes to hide inside it and cherry shrimp like to hide behind it. Very mild tannin leaching after boiling, but was desirable for my tank.

The cholla pieces are a good size, not small sticks. Big enough for my guppies to swim thru and my shrimp love it. I will buy it again in the future.

Schneller erhalten als gedacht. Ich habe 4 tolle Holzteile erhalten, die was hermachen. Habe erstmal eins ins Wasser gelegt, damit es sich vollsaugt und im Aquarium sinken kann. Färbt ein wenig, aber das gibt sich ja mit der Zeit. Klare Kaufempfehlung, wird ein toller Hingucker im Aquarium und den Welsen freuts. Lieben Dank an Amazon.

My fresh water colorful shrimp loved this stuff and they reproduced like crazy the second I put it in . My small fish love it as well

Low grade pieces. Probably not good enough for most if you'll be using in an aquarium where others will view. As soon as the pieces got wet, most no longer looked as nice and had reddish and green streaks. Two of the pieces feel apart after a couple months (though I have other purchased elsewhere that are still good after year+).

What can I say? They're pieces of cactus! Nice sized, clean looking. Bought it for orchid mounts (for tolumnia), but so far have only used it for the gerbils to play with. They LOVE chewing on it.
