Product Description

U.S. Solid 1/8" 12V DC Normally Closed Pneumatic Solenoid Valve

1

The U.S. Solid pneumatic solenoid valve features a Aluminum Alloy body for general outdoor and indoor use. It is only favored by filtered air.

Direction of the Flow

Most U.S. Solid Valves are UNIDIRECTIONAL

Make a note of the arrow on your valve. Most U.S. Solid valves are unidirectional. This means they are intended to flow in one direction only, in the direction of the arrow. If connected in opposite directions, the valve will not actuate properly (will not close for Normally Closed valves). Additionally, be sure the medium passing through is filtered. If not, particles will cling to the gasket over time, which can cause it to not seal properly.

The item did not function when compressed air was applied. It would not switch from one port to another. I applied for a refund.

Used this for an air horn switch. This product flows 2x the standard 2 way switch that is only 5 bucks less. Makes a huge difference

Working great, just be sure to regulate these things.

1/8 npt fitting were pre wrapped with sealant which had to be wire wheeled off in order to install the air fittings a few turns in the selenoid. No leaks but the wrap and or the 1/8 npt are not mated well. More likely the fitting mfg and not the air selenoid. The selenoid appears very well made and is very functional. Pleased so far with quality and performance.

This Pneumatic Electric Solenoid Valve purges/leaks air when air valve is at idle. I Need a valve that did not purge air at idle. I did not return the valve as I was able to re-purpose the 12 volt solenoid on an existing valve I had that was 120 volts. I wish the sellers would tell you in the description that the valve purged air at idle.

The valve I purchased did not work. The solenoid activated, but the valve itself did not move (poor tolerance, I believe.) It's probably hit or miss with these valves. For the price, as long as your situation is not critical, I WOULD recommend these, but just know they may have a 90% success rate or similar. I did purchase the 1/4" version of this and it works fine, albeit it has a constant slow leak, but the valve itself does work.

Performs as expected but continuously bleeds air; I had to install a cutoff valve ahead of it. We'll have to wait to see whether it's durable.

So far the product is working well. I would give it a higher rating if it came with some type of instructions or just a piece of paper with a link to their website for operational instructions to avoid the frustration I went thorough getting this valve to work. When I first received the item I tried testing it out and I could not get the valve to work. I looked on their website for any info on the how to properly setup the valve and found nothing. I searched the net and could not find anything on how this valve works. I finally went back to amazon and found others had problems getting the valve to work. This valve needs positive pressure for it to work properly. Just a small bit of info on their website would have saved me quite a bit of trouble. They already have a page for this valve on their site and with a few extra lines of type would have saved me time.
