The first time I extended to 100’, with light tension, it snapped and unwound. I should have spent $75 on a Spencer’s loggers tape.

I got this tape measure and it worked great for about 2 days. I then dropped it and it bent and would not recoil. I straightened the bent part and it worked for about 2 more days then getting out of my truck it cought something and the clip broke off. So it is now useless after about 4 days of work. Would advise againt this item . Not at all happy!!!!

Great while it lasted, but the mechanism that handled the retracting broke after two months.

Total junk.When I got it I really thought it would be as good as the competition as it felt solid and it appeared to be well made.The first day I used it to rough out a fence it refused to rewind all the way. It wasn’t even exceptionally dirty and it wasn’t wet.I played with it to see if I could find the problem but it was simply that it is junk.

These tapes are a great concept and they work well until you drop them. One good dent or two in the frame and it's rendered useless. That being said, don't drop it. It could use a rubberized coating to buffer the fall maybe?
