This was exactly what I was looking for! I needed a chain to block kids from riding bikes and walking through my yard. The chain is plastic which is fine because it connects to weighted holders that stay in place. The weights are heavy duty and the poles that go into them are heavy duty plastic. I was happy with this because I am an older woman and it made it easy for me to assemble and move around. It arrived quickly and the packaging was fantastic. Neat and clean , easy to open. I was happy with that as well. If the kids want to tear it down it won't be easy to destroy. And I will put it right back up. This is a nice neighborhood. No one has lived here in a long time and the kids thought it was their own playground. I don't thing I'll have any problems. Anyway.... very happy with this purchase.

The stanchions work as expected. I think they will hold up over time. We went with the weighted bottoms, and I would definitely recommend getting these vs the empty bases. They were easy to put together and stay firmly in the base once snapped into place.

Update 2/2/24: Third year and zero issues, even through 3 New England winters! Still highly recommended!Original 12/12/21: If I were a little taller and heavier, it probably would've taken 3 minutes instead of 5 to put these together and set'em up at the end of my driveway. You get 10' of chain PER stanchion! You store what you don't need inside the post, feed out what you do and connect them with 2 ends pieces, using the other 2 pieces at the tops of each post to keep the chain as taut or loose as you want! I put a few pieces of metallic, heat tape on each pole and sections of the chain to reflect headlights at night. Prefilled awesomeness! No more random turnarounds, destroying my driveway and MADE IN THE USA!!Highly recommended!

Very nice used for front courtyard surface fountain out of service during winter. Needed to keep pedestrians and equipment off fountain tiles. Looks great and well constructed.

The ChainBoss was finally what I was looking for. I operate a small manufacturing company and needed an economical and sturdy way to limit access to our outside shipping dock. I wanted a crowd control device that was durable and would work outdoors without rusting. I had purchased other plastic stanchions and bases but they were very flimsy, looked cheap and the chain was not included (but of course was available for an additional cost). The ChainBoss is a regular size stanchion with a prefilled (or empty) base and includes chain, hooks and a locking top to keep the chain at a desired length. Assembly required not tools and literally only took a few seconds. I am very happy with this product and will be ordering more for use in the factory.
