This cord is as i expected, i got this for my large 3800mah battery for my baofeng radio, i like it better then the charge base.

These are exactly what I required for charging my radios from my solar generators, portable power banks, and folding solar panels during power outages. I am very pleased. These cables charged my 3800ma batteries in the same amount of time as the base chargers that came with my radios. I recently purchased two GM-5R TIDradio bundles which included a total of four 3800ma TIDradio batteries which are basically the same as the Baofeng UV-5R batteries. Before charging all 4 batteries, they tested at 7.83 +/- .03 volt each. I charged two of the batteries in the TIDradio chargers and charged the other two with the Sanpyl USB charging cables using 2ah usb wall chargers. All 4 charged to a full 8.3v in 2.5 - 2.75 hrs.

I keep this in my truck to keep my radio going. Dont leave it plugged in and turned on if you want to preserve your batteries. I have a pretty much dead one that I leave in as a replacer to keep the radio on.
