It should be a perfect addition to a laptop or an OTG required device. Haven't yet tested the microphone feature but don't see any problems & will update if need be.

I need a basic USB DAC to use with a Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 3, as I wanted rear audio output and that 1L PC only has front audio. I gave this no-name generic USB DAC a try and while it does work, the quality isn't that great. Listening to FLAC files, the details just feel a bit flat with this adapter. In an A:B test compared to onboard audio, I'd say this is slightly worse, but mostly comparable. Compared to some other inexpensive USB DAC devices I own (one with Realtek ALC5686 chipset), you can definitely notice the difference those have (much better dynamics, higher voltage/power levels, etc). When plugged in, Windows 11 identifies this adapter as an iStore Audio device and uses a Generic USB Audio driver.Good:-Plug and play, simple design-It works and outputs sound-Extremely cheap-Decent cable, seems sturdy enoughBad:-No idea what chipset this is using-16 bit 48KHz only, no higher rates available-Sounds very flat and dull, not dynamic-Comparable, slightly worse than typical onboard audio

This USB-A to 3.5mm audio adapter is perfect! As soon as it is plugged in, devices recognize it and audio is output from this device without even the need to select it from audio devices the way others require. This makes this device so much easier to use, specially for those who are not very technological. It works on most devices. I tested it on cellphones (Using a USB-C adapter), Chromebooks, PC's, and docking stations. Works perfectly. It even works through daisy chaining through other adapters as shown in picture submitted. At such a low price, I'd buy a few of them to carry around.I highly recommend this adapter for those who need a 3.5mm audio jack, and this particular one for those who don't want to be fiddling around with audio output devices.

I tried this with both a hub and directly connected to a laptop and it made audio in both cases, although I can't speak for the quality of the DAC. Not bad looking as such things go. Be warned that I had to turn up the gain a bit, but I'm not sure if that's a function of the DAC or just my output levels. In any case, successful audio was achieved out of the garage stereo.
