- Supports both 5V and 3.3V modes.- The drivers seem to be preinstalled on Windows 10 and Windows 11, so it's truly plug-and-play.- The case has color markings, which I love. I have other UART-to-USB converters, and it's a pain figuring out the pin layout on those (see the photo).- As mentioned in other reviews, this board only provides RX, TX, GND, and VCC — no extra outputs like some other boards. I’ve never needed the additional outputs, but just be aware they’re not included here.- The case is compact, but if you plan to use two of these side by side, there might be fitment issues. If you do any kind of UART development with Arduino or ESP32, it's never a bad idea to have an extra pair of converters like this. I just wish they offered a version with two or more UARTs — but oh well.

A great quality housed dual-voltage TTL logic converter.Provided with small pin-header flyleads to get you started but larger flexible port allows you to use other regular plugs too for programming.+ Compact and solid plastic design+ Solid USB connector+ RECESSED power selector switch to avoid accidental activation+ FTD chipset Recognised by Windows (11) straight-away, driverless- You need your own USB extension cable, these are common and cheap

When working with ESP-01m modules I have only one USB serial adapter that requires the module to be removed from the project and plugged directly into the laptop. So to not have to remove the modules from their tiny sensor enclosures, to be able to program and test operate with a diagnostic monitor - this TTL to Serial USB tool is my solution.I have since added "pins" and am now able to easily connect this adapter to these tiny sensor modules as required to provide full programming and get diagnostic monitoring.

This adapter was pretty easy to use once you've got the basics of the pinout and voltage sorted. Not quite as plug & play as using a device with a built in FTDI interface, but certainly easier than wiring a Raspberry pi to do the TTL serial to the target device, ssh-ing into the Raspberry pi and THEN connecting to the target device. All you need is a terminal program, the pinout and the target device voltage (Don't mess this one up as you can fry the target device if you connect to it at 5v instead of 3.3v) settings and away you go. I had no problem getting it to connect to JTAG & TTL interface connections. I used it on both a W10 and W11 pc and it was correctly detected both times.

I could not get it to upload a single code on my ESP32 cam. Led on RXD and TXD would blink but the microcontroller would not have the code updated.Yet, I could successfully upload from my other USB CH340 or FT232RL. I think I am just unfortunate and got a defective unit.Yes, I did switch to 3.3V from the side switch.

I got this adapter for my maker space workbench where I build and trouble shoot Arduino and other Dev. board devices. This adapter is perfect to tap into the TTL lines on those boards. I like that this one supports both 3.3v and 5v as a lot of my Arduino projects run on the 5v version.

If you do a lot with embedded devices this is great to have in your toolbox - it has dupont wire terminal female ends and just plugs right into common boards with "header" type connections. USB works fine, wish it had USB C but it works fine with the FT232RNL drivers

A clean simple to use USB-TTL converter. The quick plug makes things even easier and I love the 3.3-5v switching capability. Very handy for dumping an EEPROM or doing basic JTAG work.

It's a USBTTL adapter with a decent length cable attached. It's based on the FT232RNL, so I have no trouble with it being detected on MacOS, Linux or even a Windows box. No troubles with any speeds I tried, no with anything I tried to program via it.

Since I use other FTDI devices for various reasons, this device was detected instantly by the driver pack already installed on my Windows 11 system and didn't seem to conflict with anything else. This tiny USB device comes with a short 8-inch pin-header breakout cable. If you need some additional reach, it would be advisable to purchase a USB extension cable. The unit did not come with any kind of manual, but it's hardly a complex device. It has some basic indicator lights (Power, TxD, and RxD) and a switch for 5V and 3.3V TTL operation, which is great because many of my newer devices are 3.3V. Aside from the voltage, there are no other hardware settings - everything else is configured in software, as it should be.Overall, great little device.

I ordered this FT232R based USB to TTL converter because it's an all-in-one solution for connecting to the rPi serial header as well as other TTL serial headers. It supports both 3.3V and 5V logic via a switch on the side, and the dongle is completely self-documenting with all necessary documentation on the face of the dongle. That's good, because it doesn't come with anything else! It is completely plug-and-play, coming up immediately using the built-in macos FTDI driver.Note that only RXD, TXD, VCC and GND are exposed. If you need other serial likes like RTS/CTS or DTR/DSR this isn't the cable for you.
