We needed a computer in the basement of our library without having to run wires from our router. This did the trick. Now we have a working desktop where we need it without a big hassle.

The first one I received was DOA. The replacement was recognized by Windows 10 with no problem. The router showed a 780 Mb connection on 5GHz 802.11ac.

connects very good, and it has a long range of receiving wifi signals, I use this in small office in my basement and it still receives full extend of the signal with no lags. great value also.

I have no doubt that I will eventually get this to wok,, but this is not a simple plug and play product for Linux. The PC sees there is a device plugged into the USB port, but needs a driver to work. In digging into the included CD there are some instructions for compiling a driver.. It's complicated, but I'll get it. I have tried to find other solutions for driver, but none panned out. So will try making the driver per their instruction.

It works well. I had a WiFi dead spot at home. Now my WiFi signal is much better. One thing to improve is to include the download link for the driver. I have to send the email to get the link

It was easy to setup. I installed it on an older desktop computer that didn't have a wireless card, so I decided to install a wifi adapter which was easier to install then opening up the computer and installing a network card. Just plug it in a usb slot and put the provided cd into the dvd-cd drive and follow the instructions that are supplied with the wifi adapter to install the drivers needed to make the wifi adapter to work.

Very helpful tool. The installation of the driver was very easy and convenient, and we could get the full speed of university network. Now my desktop in lab could also get access to the internet.

The package comes with a USB adapter, a screw on antenna, and a small CD with the driver. The driver really should be installed before connecting the adapter. The antenna can be repositioned, but having it straight up should be the normal position most of the time. This adapter WILL connect to the upper 5 band if there is an appropriate wireless router supporting that capacity and supports the standard encryption protocols for connections. The data transfer rate is solid, with my n (so not as good as the ac) transmitting at the top of the band into the connected computer. The range is at least two normal rooms away and through a wall, though there probably is a more formal zone to connect. This works both on Windows and Ubuntu for a dual-booting computer.
