The flapper switch is okay - better that most I've come across. But the workmanship and cheap microswitch kill this deal. I pulled out the microswitch - it's a DONGHAI KW4-3Z-3 normally open subminiature switch - these can be purchased for around $.20. They are better that the black ones you see in many of the torch switches offered on Amazon and eBay; those are real trash. But this switch still doesn't consistently make good solid closures. A far better German-designed switch is a DB1C-A1AA. Those will cost a buck or two but they close and open cleanly. As you can see in the picture, the wiring is uninspiring. The blue wire was barely attached to the lug. They were too lazy to use the through hole and just tacked the wire to the edge of the lug. Made in China, designed for landfills!

I weld for a living. 9 hours a day for 5 days out of the week and another 6 hours on Saturday. I have been using this switch on my tig torch for about a week now and it has been great. I bought it to replace the miller button on the syncrowave 250 dx I use at work. I run an Everlast Powertig 210ext at home and wanted a rocker style switch instead of the harder to press miller buttons. It is much less strain on my wrist using this style switch over the course of several hours, especially when having to weld in uncomfortable positions.

For the price they're decent, although i would have preferred no wire versus the 6in. Piece soldered onto the switch, or better yet would pay 3x as much for 12ft of wire pre- soldered to it.
