I know in the description it says this is raw cold rolled steel with no "funky" coating, well that's absolutely not true. These are kind of annoying to weld, even with extensive cleaning. Some white power substance forms on these when welding to chromoly. It also wants to spark and soot up. It does clean right off with a wire brush but it seems to be a zinc coating.

Ordered both 1.5 and 1.75 inch diameter clamps from this seller. The 1.75 inch diameter clamps are 1.75 inches wide while the 1.5 inch diameter clamps are 2.25 inches wide. This is curious to me that the smaller diameter clamps are wider. Also, on the 1.5 inch clamps, the bolt holes are drilled all the way through the clamp leaving a hole on the opposite side which is probably only an aesthetic complaint.Fit is good.
