This little Solinoid is quite fast and the force is as advertised. If your looking to press a switch or quickly actuate something this is probably your best bet as the price is quite fair. Although if the project you're working on requires the solenoid to remain in the ON position, this is not a good purchase as the solenoid does heat up quite quickly when actuated.

Expected 45N out of this thing but got closer to 26N. It also didn't work well for pushing and seems to be rather designed for pulling based on the fitting. The thing also overheated even under low usage (1 second off, 100ms on).

All the magnetic solenoids, of different sizes on Amazon are of this type. They have zero bushings to stop the arm from making loud operating metallic noises.The return spring is redicuously weak. Same issue with all other sizes.I would have purchased a different make if there was.I won't be ordering again.

Finally! This is my THIRD attempt at buying a solenoid with more than 5 pounds of force. The first 2 had no where near the force claimed. This one has 10 pounds (or 45N like in the specs). It draws 3A at 12v (not 2.5A but close enough). At last I can move on with my project.The end that pushes is a 3mm rod with no attach point. Just a rod. You'll also find it difficult to attach anything to the other end, the end that pulls. That disc that you see is press-fit into the armature shaft. No hole or anything else to facilitate attaching something. That's why 4 stars not 5.Gets hot after several seconds so be aware. You can't run this thing continuously. And for those who are unfamiliar with how a solenoid works, you need to know that a solenoid has very little force as it starts to move and produces its maximum force only near the very end of its travel, and it is nonlinear. Called holding force.
