They're cheap piezo discs. I wired 3 together to make a bridge plate pickup for beater acoustic guitar. It works as expected. It's not as good as the $100+ pickups you can buy but the guitar isn't worth putting a "real" pickup in. With some EQ and a buffer, which you need with piezo anyway, it's loud and serviceable.
