Diagnosed it was a faulty sensor on the 4th gen Maxima after checking pretty much every other cause for a p0325 - Engine knock. Turns out the old sensor was cracked, ordered this, swapped it in, and the code went away.

The harness is suppose to have one wire connect to the knock sensor, with the other being a ground wire that is wrapped around the signal wire to shield it from electromagenetic interference, so that your knock sensor signal to the ECU is clean. Instead, they just stuck the ground wire next to the signal wire, meaning it is unshielded, which in turn means false signals can be fed to the ECU. This is designed to look legit but in reality its useless. This is a critical component, and this particular brand is garbage that should not be trusted.

This is the perfect piece to replace a broken stock knock sensor on a 99-03 vg33 Frontier or Xterra. You'll have to do a bit of wiring, bit it works fine, is easy and cheap.

Fit as advertised on my 02' Nissan Maxima. Replaced the knock sensor and another possibility on my check engine code printout. Long story short the engine light went off after installing. Would reccomend.

This replaces both the sensor and the cable. The oem knock sensor itself had a different connector than this one. Therefore, the old cable was unusable with this new sensor. The included cable connected fine to the main wiring harness.
