Found these to use in my curio cabinet with glass shelves. The original brackets were plastic and one broke. I wanted something stronger and found these. I initially bought the 5 mm which were too small and measured again and bought these 6 mm and they fit perfectly. I love the fact that this manufacturer has numerous sizes both in diameter and in length and they are nice finished stainless steel and they work great for my glass shelves. Now I don’t worry about them breaking like the plastic one did and the shelf falling and breaking all of my knickknacks that were in the cabinet

These are for wood work or something sloppy. I thought they were locating pin typically call Dowel and they should be precise... Not those, 20% are 5.79mm or less, 20% like acceptable (5.99 to 6mm) and the rest more around 5.90 +/- .05mm... Nails have better tolerances.As supporting shelf, it should do the trick but not for the mechanic or machinist...
