44E is a switched hall-effect IC which is for contact less switching applications. The device includes an on-chip Hall voltage generator for magnetic sensing, an amplifier that amplifies the Hall voltage, a schmitt trigger to provide switching hysteresis for noise rejection, and an open-collector output.

Il sensore é arrivato correttamente. L'unico problema é stato il non essermi accorto che il sensore fornisce in uscita un dato digitale quando in realtà per il progetto del levitron che sto realizzando ho bisogno di un dato analogico. Per il resto niente da eccepire

They work fine.

These work great, I just wanted to write a review to let people know (in case they were not aware) you need a pull up resistor with these, otherwise it will just stay in a meta-stable state (garbage data). Hope that helps!

Worked perfectly for a simple demo circuit for switching a LED off in the presence of a magnetic field. As another reviewer mentioned there is not diagram for the sensor so you have to google it (reason for 4 stars). Also comfirming the sensor is active high.

I tried the Arduino Uno approach at first using several sketches which were available on line, and I then tried a few circuits which were available by trusted sources on Utube. And in both cases, these sensors did not respond to magnetc fields of varying intensities.

Generally a good product. I can confirm that it works as intended if set up properly. To see how to set it up and to view the pin out diagram google the switch's name (OH44E hall effect switch) and download the datasheet. After googling a dozen times and reading a bunch of articles I still didnt know how to use it but finally after viewing the datasheet and the figure of the schmatic (in the datasheet) I was able to successfully turn the switch on and off with a magnetic field. One thing that I think is worth mentioning is that the switch is active high (I hope thats the right term), meaning that in the presence of a magnetic field the switch is OFF, a confirmation of this would be appreciated. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is due to the lack of information about the component found online.
