These are SPST switches that have two input terminals and two output terminals. They are not DPST switches.

I should have read the reviews before purchase. One pair of terminals will be connected, the other pair open, in one switch position, and when you turn the switch, the closed pair open and the open pair connects.Not usable as the main switch on a tool where you want "off" to completely separate it from the wall and "on" to connect both sides.Could maybe be hacked to make it work if you could change the mechanical part.

They are by no means Allan Bradley quality but for the price they'll do. You do have to make sure you turn them all the way on as they don't always turn the contacts on.

I ended up using power relays controlled by these switches to handle the current draw needed. Burnt up 2 switches before installing the relays. Good thing I ordered the spares.

I got these for a control panel for my Shapeoko CNC. Out of the five only one quit on the closed side. That was in the first 10 minutes. So well see how the others hold up. All and all they seem ok for light duty.

These switches will suit my purposes, but for frequent use, such as the power switch on a tool, you'd probably want something sturdier. The construction is all plastic (except the contacts and terminals, of course). As tigeraki noted, disassembly is not immediately obvious and there are no instructions. Simply press down on the white tab and the unit can be pulled apart (see picture). The N.O. side has a green actuator and the N.C. is red, easily seen through the clear plastic enclosure. All in all, a good price for a useful, light-duty switch.

These are NO+NC, which means that one side will be closed while the other is open, and turning the switch will change both of them to the opposite state. These won't work for 220v control because you'd have to leave on side connected, but luckily I'm working with 110v on this project so I'll make it work... Just wish that the description was more thorough.
