Am not sure what it is made for I was trying to use it for a trap door 1 inch wide 2 inches long with no weight sitting on door and I could no get it to pull are push door back in place

Good strength and high quality. However they get extremely hot (up to 100C) after not too long which can be a big issue depending on application. Additionally they do not cool down quickly at all.

Very impressive solenoid. I replaced my old one in my old Chamberlain garage door opener. Worked perfectly. Saved me $200.00.
