It was a good product that shipped quickly. However, this one was too big so I had to reorder a smaller size.

Measurements in the description said 41mm width, was almost 43mm. Wouldn't fit in the 41.5mm housing of my drill press.

I needed this part for a 41.5mm diameter housing. The part that came was 42.5 mm in diameter. This makes it basically useless as there's no easy/fast/safe way to wind the outside diameter down to the desired size... Let alone getting it into the housing afterward. For a $7 part it makes no sense to even try. So it's basically useless. They need to do a better job of QC.Aside from the size issue it looked well made, but a well made part that doesn't fit is less useful than a poorly made one that does.

I bought this spring to replace the broken one on my Delta 17-956 based on the measurements alone. Delta and other retailers list this spring at $35, but were no longer stocked. The spring arrived after five days. As received, the spring is tightly wound and held by a wire around the circumference. Before removing the old spring, note the orientation of the spring in the housing.I was concerned that the tightly wound spring would unwrap wildly when the clamp wire was cut, so I added a smaller wire (radially) around the tightly wound spring and twisted tightly to secure it. Another wire was added around the spring at 180 degrees, ( think 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock ) and twisted tightly. With the exterior spring tab located into the housing, I clamped a narrow piece of wood across the housing to preclude the escape of the spring. Wearing safety glasses, I cut the wire around the outside of the spring and removed it. The two small wires I added, were then cut and removed.Reassemble on the drill press. Wear leather gloves while tensioning the spring, Or pay the band aid tax. The spring tang has sharp edges. DAMHIK.This spring fits and functions as well as the original Delta part.
