How do you cut high speed steel? LOL...I am trying to use these to make custom ferro rod strikers, one for me and one for my son.These are about 1/4 too long...a couple of inches or so.I am sure that they are perfect for lathe work, which...if I had one...would come in handy on this project! They are just a bit longer than I need. I could cut one in half somehow, and use the other to lathe the handles for my ferro rods and strikers!
