How to Install an In Line Switch?
-Slit the cord where you want the switch.
-Cut apart the line and insert the cord into the wire channel on the switch bottom.
-Press the switch halves together and tighten the switch screw.

Was replacing one of these that came with a west elm lamp. Perhaps could have been a different manufacturer. Identical exterior. Improved switching mechanism. Inferior wire routing + housing material.
