I needed a cheap set of V brakes for a temporary bikeThese were cheap, they installed easily and they work fineI'd buy something better if this bike was supposed to last more than a few months, but so far, these are working great

The springs are too stiff for normal adjustment. I had to modify the curve of the spring. The pads wont stop my bike. The old brakes these replaced are a bit worn rusty and dirty but WORKED. This is a like size replacement. This requires a DEATH GRIP to slow down. YES i have worked on bikes over 40 years.

I needed brakes and ordered from another seller and had them on for a charity ride. Too bad for these. going back they are look great and are a good product, but the shipping was just too slow!!!!!

The package only had 3 of the 4 brake arms included so I have to go through the hassle of getting a complete set from Amazon, so I'm already in a lousy mood while writing this review. The brakes themselves are of decent quality and work well thus far. I had to slightly open the whole for the cable in the quick release but otherwise installation was a snap. I think I would have rated them 4 stars (especially for the price) had it not been I received yet another incompletely packaged item from Amazon. Their ineptitude in being able to deliver a completely packaged product is problematic at best. I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it.
