Used for a new pool filter installation. Didn’t want to bother with the dinky plastic one that came with it since this sits out in our Texas sun all day, every day. Based on another review I replaced the plastic shut off on this with a metal ball valve. Now it really feels heavy duty and should outlast me, the pool, and with the way things are going, probably humanity.

Price and quality was great with this product I won’t have to worry about replacing it again as the factory ones kept leaking or breaking tank is less than two years old

Fits my Pentair 180008 filter perfect. I like that it's brass and hope it lasts longer than the plastic ones I've used in the past. I wish the bleed valve was larger. It can take a little longer than it used with the larger bleed valves but overall, I like this gauge and relief for the pool. Definitely a good replacement part.

I am so happy with this replacement pressure gauge for my Pentair pool filter. I have replaced the pressure gauge several times now and was happy to actually find a well made metal replacement. I am so disappointed that Pentair has such a inferior product and that I no longer have to keep replacing it over and over. Highly recommend this item!

Pentair C&C Filter Bleed Valve “upgrade” that I further upgraded.I was about to replace the Pentair “Full Flow” bleed valve on the top of my Pentair Clean and Clear cartridge filter for about the fifth time when I stumbled on this.Hmmm... big hunk of nicely machined solid brass!Looks like it will last. I checked, the plastic bleed valve is available for replacement...Note: I have my bleed valve “plumbed” to a drain and use it to remove water from the pool. If you only bleed air, some of my review won’t concern you.1. Arrived with pressure meter with cracked glass. MEH. It’s a crappy gauge anyway and I was planning to use a liquid filled one I already have.2. Arrived with a plastic valve assembly that probably is ok for air, but not for water (no packing oring, so it’d leak when on).But I liked the big hunk of nicely machined SOLID brass! So I reimagined it for my use.I replaced the plastic valve with a quarter turn ball valve:Ball Valve 1/4” MPT to 1/4” FPT (brass)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006U4E9F2I added a coupling to allow me to clamp the hose to the valve:1/4” MPT to 3/8” MPT Coupling (brass)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BO6OLYLooks like it will last for ever. And it will acquire that nice green patina of everything in a SWG pool!Only con: the 1/4” fittings are much slower bleeding air than the original “full flow” valve. And bleeding water is just a trickle.

This air relief valve is so much better then the OEM one that comes with the unit. I've replaced the OEM valve 5 times in 8 years and to be honest I was getting tired of it, I'm so glad I've found this. The quality of it is top notch, I don't see myself having to replace this anytime soon..

This was a replacement for my plastic air relief gauge that cracked at the threads. Pentair insists on making cheap plastic parts that constantly break and need replacement (which is probably what they want). I lost track of how many of these I have replaced due to poor quality. I was glad to find this brass gauge which perfectly fits my filter housing. I have used it one pool season without any issues. It is sturdy and I doubt it will ever crack!
