This install took only 10 minutes including watching a video online on how to change it. Anyone with small technical knowledge can replace the battery. It comes with the screwdrivers you need and it is very straight forward. Battery is working great so far and no complaints.

I bought this for a Dell Inspiron 14-5410 to replace the OEM battery that my 16 year old killed. Replacement was perfectly straight forward and easy as this battery is identical in size and connector to the OEM battery. I did make sure to fully discharge the system by pressing and holding the power button for at least 20 seconds before connecting the new battery. After installation the laptop booted right up and showed the battery had~40% charge. So I shut it down and let it charge up. After a couple hours the charging light went out indicating the battery was fully charged and I disconnected the charger. I was able to boot the laptop and the battery showed 100%! That was the last time I could boot the laptop using this battery. The laptop would operate just fine plugged in and the battery tested 100% healthy and fully charged but the second the power adaptor was disconnected the laptop would shutdown and would not boot until the charger was connected.So I tried disconnecting the battery again and holding the power button for 20 seconds before reconnecting. This did not change anything and the laptop would not boot without the power adaptor. So I put the old battery in which works fine ( other than only holding about 80% as much charge as before) and returned this battery.

The battery comes with about half charged. Installing is a breeze. Be sure to follow the instructions you can upload from the internet, regarding your computer model.

First, I want to say the shipping was excellent. I received the product in one day, the shipping box was in good shape and it contained the ZTHY box with a laptop battery in it. Both the ZTHY box and the battery inside it were in good condition.My concern is that the battery that was in the ZTHY box was poor quality. First it did not work. My laptop wouldn’t recognize that a battery was connected. I reconnected it several times with no success. (Re-connecting my old batter was recognized the first time.) It looks like the battery cable connector on the ZTHY battery is loose. Not like the connector on my old battery. I will also comment that the ZTHY battery that I received had no branding on it. If ZTHY is not embarrassed by the product they manufacture, then they should put the ZTHY brand name on it.
