I did not need this item at all, so I didn’t even open the package. The problem was not because of the belt on my vacuum, but the belts that were sent looked very nice and looked like they would obviously fit my machine but I didn’t take them out of the package.

Very happy with these belts so far. Much cheaper than purchasing from a repair store.We'll see how they hold up after more use and will provide an update.

Update to my original review: if it seems the belts are about half an inch too loose, you probably just need to toggle the “surface selector” on your vacuum. On mine it’s a big grey switch that presses and releases a belt tensioner. The purpose of this is to be able to run the vacuum without spinning the brush when just using it in upright mode. I felt pretty silly figuring this out after going to a repair shop. If you’re thinking the belt is loose, double check that switch. Hope this helps.

These did not fit my vacuum even though my original belt part number is listed. They are too loose and won't spin the brush.

I have had my hoover vacuum cleaner for 9 years and never changed the belt. I noticed the roller brush would not start turning immediately, it took a minute or so before it worked. After replacing this belt I can start cleaning immediately. Very easy to replace.

Seems to be a perfect replacement for my sweeper belt that was stretched out and slipping. Nice value since it came with extra belts. No more slipping on the bar while vacuuming!
