Absolutely obsessed with this tool! I ordered for my daughter’s birthday gift(she likes hand crafts), She loves it. One of favorite features is the air suction that picks up the rhinestones—such a smart and convenient idea! Super easy to use, even if you’re not crafty. The quality surprised me—it feels like a pro tool. For the price, this is amazing value for money.

This would not work correctly for me. The applicator itself got hot, I had a green light, and the appropriate tip attached.....but the rhinestones no matter the size or tip on the applicator, nor how long the gem stayed in the tip while the applicator was on with a green light, would NOT get hot nor would the glue on them soften, period. I'm going to call this one a dud. It went in the trash. Oh, and FYI....the balance of the applicator, especially with the cord plugged into it, was too heavy on the cord end to be comfortable enough to use for very long.

Yikes. I’m not a huge hotfix fan to begin with, but I’ve done some cool projects with them so what the heck I’ll try a different applicator. The suction is a great idea (that we’ve all had while hot fixing rhinestones). But when I pick up the stone, the glue won’t melt while the suction is on, but the applicator won’t hold the stone unless the suction is on. So it’s not exactly functional. The instructions basically said plug it in and turn it on so I suppose it’s possible I’m doing it wrong? I could stick a single rhinestone to anything with this tool.

This hotfix applicator is a handy tool for anyone looking to add rhinestones to their fabric items with precision and ease. The device has a two-step operation: turning on the power starts the heating process, and pressing the power button again activates the vacuum pickup. The preheating time is short, allowing for quick setup and use.For best results, I found it helpful to spread the rhinestones on the tray with the shiny side facing up before starting. The vacuum function picks up the stones efficiently, and the applicator allows for accurate placement. Be careful when handling the device, as the heating rod is exposed and becomes very hot during use. Prolonged operation can also cause the body of the applicator to heat up significantly.I used this kit to replace some missing rhinestones on my favorite T-shirt, and it worked very well. The included rhinestones adhered nicely, and the vacuum pickup feature made the process both quick and straightforward. Overall, this tool made the repair process smooth and enjoyable.

This gets a 3 star because of the lack of instructions and lack of being upfront of having to purchase their rhinestones. I should have thought about that before ordering it. I was unsure how it worked, which I had to piece together the tiny bit of information that came with it as well as using my ability to figure things out. It did give me the information as to plugging it in, holding the button for 5 seconds to turn it on, and needing to wait approximately 5 minutes to heat up. Then, you have to make sure you have all the same size rhinestones set out for your project and be sure you test which head needs to be on the tool BEFORE you plug it in because you don't want to be changing the heads while the tool is hot. Thank goodness the directions said to hit the power button once after it turns green to get the suction going to pick up the rhinestone, but then that's it for the directions. There is nothing that says how long to leave the tool on the material to secure the rhinestone. I ended up counting to 5, and that seemed to work. Once I was done with this trial project, I went back over it to put the heated tool on the rhinestones that looked to need to be a bit more secure. It does come with multiple head sizes for rhinestones as well as a tip for the different shaped rhinestones. I am not happy with the company for not stating in the description that their rhinestones need to be purchased for this machine because their rhinestones have the pre-applied adhesive. Though these come with a bunch of rhinestones, mostly tiny in size, I am going to want to use some bigger sized rhinestones, and the ones I bought won't work because they don't have the adhesive on them. I did search Amazon for Hotfix Rhinestones bulk and found options to choose from, and I'm going to order some of those now to be sure to have them on hand. Once I figured out how this worked, this tool was fun to use and am excited to create my first project with it. It does appear to be of good quality and functions as it should, once I understood how to use it properly. The price of this is a bit expensive, $40, and I can't use the rhinestones I already own. I am grateful it came with some rhinestones, but bigger sizes are needed.

This is a neat little tool. I have a heat applicator, but it didn’t have the vacuum feature and getting the rhinestones to stay exactly where you wanted them took a steady hand. This tool holds onto the stone and allows you to release it when you’re ready. It takes a little practice because there’s just one button that controls 3 functions: on, off, and vacuum. When we first started using it, we kept accidentally turning it off when we wanted to use the vacuum feature. Once you get the hang of it, it works great though, and it gets plenty hot enough to seal the rhinestones. It comes with three little cases of stones in an assortment of sizes and colors which is plenty to get you started if you don’t already own some. They’ve also included a nice selection of tips which should be everything you’d need.
