The effects of electromagnetic radiation are becoming more and more a problem for many people. Everywhere you go, there are 5G cell towers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RFID readers, etc., and it’s almost impossible to get away from all of this. The effects of this radiation are terrible for many people‘s health and well-being. This scarf is a good way to protect your head, brain, ears, etc., from some of that radiation that is so hard to escape. This scarf seems to do what it says it does.I did a quick test of the scarf using a cell phone with the Bluetooth, cellular and Wi-Fi antennas turned on. First, I put the cell phone on a flat surface and used my EMF meter to get a reading of the radiofrequency. At that time, the peak reading was about 157 milliwatts per meter squared. After that, I loosely put the cell phone inside the scarf. I didn’t fold the edges or anything like that. The edges were touching each other, though. I did the same thing with the meter, and the reading was probably less than 2 milliwatts per meter squared. I sent the cell phone a text message and a phone call during both of these tests. After that, I put the EMF meter inside the scarf and held that close to the phone and came up with close to the same results. During the first couple of tests I did, the phone call was able to come through, but on the second set of tests, the scarf actually blocked the phone call from coming through at all. This may have been because of the way I did it, and I know that a true faraday bag will not allow any signals to come through to your phone or escape from your phone, but I’m still convinced that the scarf is having an effect on the radiation levels and blocking quite a bit. It’s quite possible that if I had folded the phone up into the scarf better and folded the edges, nothing would have come through, but I really wasn’t interested in that because if you wear the scarf you are going to have exposed parts of your body, so I don’t think you could block everything. Your mileage may vary, but during my rudimentary testing, I’m convinced that the scarf was truly blocking much of the radiofrequency energy. The scarf is a soft, slightly stretchy material. The outside is soft and black, and the inside does appear to be made of silver material. It is completely comfortable to sleep in, so I know it should be comfortable no matter what your activity during the day also. In summary, if you are worried about the effects of EMF on your health and would like to find a way to block some of that, this could be a good choice.

This Faraday neck-gaiter/hood arrived packaged with clear product information (not always a given, and appreciated here). The fit was fine on me, a small-boned woman, with ample room to spare for someone with a larger frame.Bamboo-fiber clothing drapes beautifully and feels wonderful against the skin, but I wasn't sure how the "silver lining"--yes, there is one and here it is!--would drape and feel. It turns out to be surprisingly malleable and smooth. (The silver lining is shiny and metallic even though it photographed as a matte gray.) There was a slight odor at first, but I aired the gaiter outside for a few hours and the smell dissipated quickly.I hadn't realized from the thumbnail photo in the Amazon listing that this had ear holes, a feature that's obviously useful for hearing clearly but poses a couple concerns for me. The first of these is that I'll need to fold that upper edge under when I'm wearing this out anywhere simply as a discrete accessory, which adds some lumps and bulk. The second of these is that my personal priority is shielding my ear canals--the skull's most vulnerable points from what I've read--during phone calls, so I may sew those openings shut. The product information claims that this gaiter doesn't make the wearer too warm because bamboo is cooling. That latter claim is true, but the inner silver layer isn't nearly so breathable as the outer bamboo layer: I did wind up taking this off because I was getting uncomfortably warm sitting at my computer. For that reason I'll probably wear this more during colder weather and otherwise only when I'm making long phone calls or in especially high-EMF environments.I debated

I got this for my daughter to use. With her current health issues, she’s especially sensitive to any tech around her. It’s soft and lightweight, and the style makes it easy to wear like a scarf, a head covering, or pulled up over her face when she wants extra coverage. It looks pretty basic, nothing flashy, which is perfect for something that’s meant to blend in while doing its job. She can still talk and move around comfortably, and if it helps her feel even a little better or more shielded from everyday signals, then it’s worth having in the rotation. It folds up small, so it’s easy to stash in a bag or drawer for when she wants it. It’s simple, useful, and a good fit for her.

What a comfy gaitor! Just holding it iny hands, I could tell it's high quality. Lightweight and soft, it is made of quality materials. As for the faraday aspect, I put my multimeter into continuity mode and tested several points in the inside of the gaitor. True enough, I get beeps everywhere. It is confortable to wear and has a lightweight feeling to it, almost as if I'm not wearing anything.

The primary purpose for this gaiter is the blocking of negative energy and we can say that it did make use feel lighter and more grounded in general. So that seems like a win. It is comfortable to wear! We did replicate the cell signal test and inside the gaiter the cell phone had more lag and more trouble getting signal and wireless connectivity. Good quality construction.

Flexible uses, quality fabric. This is one of those things I didn’t know I needed, but I can see the value when in environments with high radiation. That said, it still works great as a headband, neck warmer, or base for a headscarf, which means it earned a place in my travel bag. The silver lining, n a pinch could also be used as a good wound care cover.
