21 Degree Plastic Collated Full-Head Framing Nails

Choose 20-22 degree plastic strip nails for roof sheathing work and other construction jobs such as framing, decking, fencing, truss building, subflooring, side wall sheathing and pallets and crate assembly.

For roof sheathing, you can use vinyl coated 2 3/8 x .113 (12 gauge) smooth shank brite steel nails to fasten your sheathing to the roof frame.

For smaller construction jobs such as fencing and box and crate assembly, you can use 2” x .113 (12 gauge) ring shank stainless steel nails. Ideal for outdoor applications due to its anti-corrosive and discoloration properties, the ring shank or annual thread of these nails offer superior holding power to prevent nails from backing out over time. It is also recommended for working with ACQ treated lumber, cedar, and redwood.

Bottom line, both of these nailers work flawlessly, after several days of use and a couple thousand nails. But here's a quick word about the seller, CastleRock Tools: I'm doing some rare framing work on my attic and soffits, and went hunting for a framing nailer in the familiar "not-often-needed" tool category, i.e. something that works but won't dent the wallet. Having realize that some of the attic work featured tight spaces, this combo of framing and palm nailer seemed a no-brainer. Unfortunately, a warehouse labeling problem meant I received the framing nailer only, no palm nailer. Disappointed! Fired off an email, and was surprised to get a reply, within an hour, from Mike at CastleRock Tools. He asked me to email some pics to see what I had actually gotten, sussed the problem, and directly shipped the missing palm nailer....all in the same day. Any veteran of budget tool purchases will know that this sort of support on such tools is very rare, if not unheard of. I also noticed the large number of great answers that CastleRock provides in the questions section. Big thanks to CastleRock, I'm very satisfied. Buy with confidence, folks!

I am happy to report on the Valu-Air 9021C 21, this product has proven to be very good. I am building a shed for the back yard and switching from 3-12 to 2-1/2 nails with ease. The nail gun has sunk the nails to the correct depth and has been working hard. I do run into the occassional nail jam due to the nail company but other than that, I have been really impressed. It was nice to take the chance on this machine to save on money because the main brands I love were just to high. So, thank you Value-Air.

What did you expect for $99, a $300 DeWalt framing nail gun? It gets the job done, albeit with a bit of hassle, but its still better than swinging a hammer. A few tips: keep the air pressure at the max of 120 psi. Oil it often. plan on having to re-charge the spring loaded nail feeder every few nails, just don't do it too hard or it will jam up in the shoot. plan on taking the magazine off every few hours of use to clear a bad jam. I'm framing a bedroom (finished today) and a large utility room (about to start) in the basement. Once I'm done, I will give this nail gun a death by fire in the back yard. Im using 3 inch nails. I would say the problems lie where the nail magazine feeds the air hammer... sometimes it just gets too hungry. Would I buy it again to do this same small job? Yes. A big job? NOOOOOOOO.

I have now put almost 10,000 rounds thru this nailer. It has performed like a champ. I don't know if it could withstand the demands of a professional jobber, but it is gold for a DIYer like me. I would absolutely buy it again.

This thing has a return window haha never used it till now and “missed the magic window”.. fires the first nail.. that’s it. Nothing more unless u manually hold the trigger back.. even then it shoots air half the time.. value air is very fitting.. a return window lol that is just amusing. Must use product and figure out it doesn’t work in this amount of time! Buuut what if u don’t even open the box till theee months later try it out and get one nail out of the rig.. don’t buy this thing until they adjust the return policy. You get some air for an awful good value!!! Un real.. should have stuck w the brand we know. Worth a try. That’s why I wear nikes.. starter shoes are about the equivalent of this compared to a real tool.. cost is awesome but now I know why.. it’s an ornament.. n ya I’ve tried to adjust everything according to the manual videos even the tool repair people at the local lumber yard, they just laughed! Save ur money for something till they get on the ball.

This thing is badass. It's a fraction of the price of other nailers. I framed up a whole 10x12 shed with it. The instructions are poorly translated Chinese but hey, it ain't complicated. Put some nails in, add some oil, connect the air, and start nailing up some 2x4's. Have fun.

I bought this to build a wooden fence for my Mother In Law. I was switching back and forth as needed between 2" and 3" ring shanked nails. I was using a way undersized firestorm compressor. The 3" didnt quite go in all the way but that was because the compressor I used could only achieve 90 psi. I worked with it in cold wet weather and it is covered in mud. It never gave me a bit of trouble. When I build my fence in the spring Ill be using a different compressor so I am sure ill get a better result. The palm nailer worked great however If I had to order again I think I would just order the framing nailer with the case and just buy a separate palm nailer. Wish there was an option to buy the case separately. My reason for a 4 star review is that I could find no knob for depth adjustment. I did find an allen screw that an allen wrench was provided for. That however is not tooless depth adjustment. If someone could show me where I am wrong I would gladly change the rating. Over all I am quite happy with my purchase.
