The tool is called ValueMax for a reason. This is not for a tradesman in the ductwork biz, more for the occasional DIY'er like myself. Considering the number of times I'll find use for this tool, this particular model will suffice. It's not built from the most heavy duty components, just enough to do the job. So if the target user is the non-professional, it is a good value.

This is a tool that you most likely won't use very often but when you do, it'll make crimping gutters and pipes a breeze. It's very easy to use and you can get professional looking results after a little bit of practice. Just be careful not to squeeze too hard or else you may end up cutting through the metal.

This tool does a good job of crimping metal. I was able to easily fix a bad dryer vent cover install with ease using it. While my hands are on the smaller side and this tool is designed for larger hands I was able to use this tool without undue difficulty due to how easy it is to operate. It opens and closes very smoothly.

This is an easy to use tool, and does what it says. There is good leverage, so it is easy on the hands. The locking mechanism keeps the tool compact when not using so it doesn't take up a lot of room in your tool box. Seems well built. This is a tool that most people don't use often, but is nice to have at the ready when needed.

This crimper is surprisingly heavy duty, must better quality than I expected. The teeth of the crimper are thick and well formed to get good crimps on ductwork and gutters. I used it on gutters and it worked beautifully. So much easier than trying to use pliers in the past. The handle is well-leveraged, it doesn't take that much grip pressure to get a thick solid crimp. This is a huge improvement over using pliers to squeeze and manipulate it and breaking you wrists in the process. The end result is very professional. Great price, happy with everything.Last note, I was happy to see that there is a little lock flap to keep them in the closed position when putting them into your toolbag. The grips were also comfortable and substantial. I have large hands and a lot of Amazon tools are very small to keep down weight and shipping size, but this tool is large and substantial. It fits into my hands very comfortably. Once again, great tool. Highly recommend.

We've all have had downspout extensions get blown off by the wind or bumped by the lawn mower. This tool makes quick work of crimping new ends for extensions. Before this tool, I would try to use two, needle nose pliers at the same time to try to crimp an end. This was not only cumbersome and time consuming, but also didn't work all the time or look the best. For the typical homeowner, you may not think you need one, but when you do need it, you'll be glad you had it!
