Bought a new ValvoMax system for my Toyota Avalon and installed the ValvoMax valve. Upon my first oil change with the system, I found dribbles of oil inside the cap when unscrewing the cap cover of the ValvoMax valve. There had been at least some amount of oil already leaking through the internals of the ValvoMax plug. I blotted the cap cover clean and connected the FlowVent hose to the oil drain bag. I got dribbling down the OUTSIDE the hose onto the garage floor! It was leaking at the crimped interface of the hose and screw on connector to the ValvoMax oil plug valve. I tried to twist shut the FlowVent twist valve at the other end of the hose where it screws into the 10L capture bag but oil started oozing out of the FlowVent TwistValve. I had to abort & disconnect the FlowVent hose & shove my 14L capture basin under all of this & drain everything into that. I was hoping to make that obsolete. I also found that there wasn't enough clearance with my Avalon up on ramps to drain the oil through a descending line into the height of the 10L capture bag (it sat so high). I had plans to implement this system on my 4Runner too but both valves and the hose leak! I took the ValvoMax plug out and replaced it with the original oil pan bolt. What a waste of $90. Just think how many cases of oil I could have bought with that.

My husband always changes the oil in our cars himself and it can totally be a messy job. He loves this drain mate system. It comes with everything you need to change the oil in all your vehicles and machines. He loves the drain bag and thought it was such a great idea to include something like this in a kit. It makes draining the oil from our cars a lot easier and cleaner. He is very happy with this kit.

The valvomax drain system has totally changed how I change my oil and I love it! Previously I had to mess with sticking my hands in the path of the oil, digging in a pan of oil for the nut that fell into it.... Just a big mess and it got all over! Often had to clean my driveway with kitty litter- it was terrible!But I got one of their easy drain twist valves and installed it on my car and got this kit and changed my oil in record time the next time I went to drain my oil! No crazy mess, it was all contained into this container! And lucky for my I know where an oil center is here, I take the container in and dump it into their tank and then I have a oil drain bag to reuse! You could just take this whole thing to a place that recycles oil and leave it there as is so you don't have to do this though. I just found it more economical to reuse the oil change bag is all.Love this oil change system! Love all the stuff that goes with this kit, it all worked great!

This kit is great and it works with the Fumoto drain valve on my Jeep TJ with a 4.0. I’d like to replace the Fumoto on my Jeep with a ValvoMax but I don’t think I have the needed clearance between my skid plate and the oil pan. If it is returnable I will probably try to install one on my next oil change. I did replace the Fumoto on my car with the ValvoMax and couldn’t be happier (pic included). The ValvoMax drain valve is not included in this kit and I wouldn’t expect it to be. Different cars have different drain plugs so including one in the kit would not be practical.Combining this kit with their valve makes draining your oil a breeze but there are some things to consider. My car is extremely low to the ground and the container requires 16” of clearance to work properly. For my car I removed the plastic valve from the container, set the container on its side, insert the tube into the container and drain. My Jeep has plenty of ground clearance so this is not an issue (pic included).I installed the dipstick cleaner on the Jeep and it actually works really good. It is super absorbent and cleans the dipstick better than your average paper towel. I didn’t install mine on the dipstick tube. I installed it on a horizontal brace in the engine compartment (Pic included) and noticed what I consider a design flaw. The receptacle that holds the wiper has a detent that is intended to be aligned with the dipstick tube. The diameter of the bar that I mounted it to is smaller than a dipstick tube but I assume the issue would be the same when mounting to the dipstick tube. When I aligned the detent with the brace it would not allow me to screw the cap on. Not a big deal though. I just aligned the brace to a section that didn’t have the detent and it works great. I don’t necessarily think I would buy one but since it was included in the kit I installed it and it is convenient to have.The paper funnels are very nice also. It’s nice to have a funnel in the vehicle in case of an emergency. You will not want to use these in the garage because they are not as good as a plastic funnel but they are much easier to store in your glove box.All in all I am very happy with this kit and the ValvoMax drain valve is the best drain valve you can buy IMO. Fumoto valves are nice and I have been satisfied with them in the past but the simple fact is that the Valvomax is a much safer solution. It is triple sealed so there is no way to unintentionally open the valve and drain your engine. ValvoMax is a veteran owned company and everything I have received from them has been assembled in the United States. That combined with what I consider to be a superior product is a no-brainer. 100% satisfied and plan to recommend it to all of my friends that do their own maintenance on their vehicles.
