I wasn’t sure this was going to work with my Leofoto L bracket on my Z8. But surprisingly, it does. Smooth. I tried it with video and felt it worked nicely. The dial to lock in the tilt so that you pan is interesting but will take some learning for me. Replaces a Vanguard ball head which I really don’t like, especially for heavy cameras/lenses.

I needed this quickly to fulfill a class assignment in videography, panning with my SLR. It was a little stiff at first, so there is a getting-to-know-you learning curve. I walked around the back yard following dragonflies and lizards until I figured it out. In the end, I did well on the assignment so, winner, winner, chicken dinner!

it says its a pan head, but panning is something it can't do, its shaky, can't resist the lightest winds and after many times in the field its started to loosen up!!

My unit arrived in used condition, and missing the quick release plate. It is NOT Arca-Swiss compatible, and none of my other quick release plates work with it. It has the grooves like an Arca-Swiss, but the locking pin prevents any of 4 other types I own from being inserted. As it is, it's useless to me. It looks like it would have been a nice head if it had all of the parts, and was compatible. Very disappointed.
