This will probably work ok for a starter vanity desk. It is sturdy as in, not breaking, but it does wobble. I was hoping to use it as a sewing table as well, but the wiggle is too pronounced for that.It is just as it looks in the picture. It was easy to construct, and is a cute little vanity.

I received this product on time however there were parts missing in the box. The metal and wood are cheaply made and did not go together with the screws properly. Terrible build quality. I had to get through 90 percent of the build it just to find out that the parts in the box were not correct. Don’t waste your money.

When I saw this I knew right away what I wanted to use it for, and it is perfect! This is my new sewing machine table. It checks all the boxes - not too deep, small so it takes up minimal space, drawers to keep sewing supplies in, and space for a lamp while still having space for what I'm sewing, steel so it can bear the weight of the sewing machine while still being lightweight enough I can move it aside when needed. I truly do love it. Been sewing for 50 years of my life and this is the best sewing machine set up I have ever had.One nice surprise was the quality of the fabric drawers. I thought the front of the drawers would be fabric, but instead they are a nice faux leather. The real drawer handles are an extra nice touch too.I do have one complaint - it is minor - but would have been so easy and inexpensive for the manufacturer to prevent they should have done it. That is, it ends up with screw holes showing on the front of the drawer posts no matter which side you decide to put the drawers on. All it needs is four little plastic caps to push into those holes and then it would look finished. I will cover with some small white circle stickers. After doing such a beautiful job designing this and making everything align so perfectly, I'm surprised that detail was missed. Not sharing this because it should keep you from buying it, but so you can plan ahead and not be looking through the parts and pieces for little white caps that aren't there like I did.The instructions are very good; they actually have written words, not just pictures. It took me an hour and fifteen minutes to put it together all by myself using an actual multi-tip screwdriver, not the tiny hex wrench that is included. That would have been an hour if I had not made a few errors along the way. Here is what I learned:*Decide before you begin which side you want the drawers on and find that drawing in the instructions - those drawings are a few pages in. Note how pieces need to line up and where the screw holes end up for the set up you want. Mark that page/drawing and refer to it frequently. Had I done this I would not have had to back track a couple of times when I screwed pieces on backwards.*Don't bother installing the drawer brackets until you are done. They won't stay in place while you build the thing. You do need to take note of which will be the right side of the drawer section and which will be the left side, but just mark that and don't bother installing the brackets until the end. I did have to use a flat head screwdrive to pull out the tab on one of the brackets, but that was the only thing in the entire piece that did fit together perfectly.*And of course, as with all RTA furniture, only tighten screws 70 to 80% of the way until the whole thing is put together and setting upright on the ground, then finish tightening.
