I purchased this for my 11-year-old. It is very good quality paper and the pens are very vibrant. Paper was very thick and durable. The pens coming with the paper is certainly a plus.

Great quality . Totally fun . The pens worked perfectly on the black paper. Paper was nice and thick . Wasn't the cheap paper. Was a great set. Would buy again.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. The unique black pages make it stand out from traditional notebooks and provide a perfect canvas for bright color pens. It’s perfect for doodling, the quality of the paper is excellent—thick and smooth, with no bleeding through. Really recommend this product

I decided to test most of the pens by writing a review on a sheet of paper from the book. You can view the images to see the size of the book. (The page was folded in half, and would be great for making personalized cards!)Here is the typed review, in case my handwriting is hard to read:The book is nice! Pages are large and thick. I had a little trouble with the perforations but this is a minor issue.The gel pens are pretty good, but I have others that are better quality. I do like the colors that were included! I wasn't looking for this, but Amazon had a lightning deal so I went for it! Overall I am satisfied with this purchase.I would certainly purchase the book again, but not the gel pens. I recommend the Pilot or Uni Brands instead.(At the end of the page, I wrote with two different gel pens I own for comparison.)Written with Pilot G2 0.7mm: For comparison this isPilot G-2 0.7 mm (silver)Written with Uniball Signo 1mm: and this is Uniball Signo 1mm (Red)Pilot: Notice that there are no streaks in words!Uni: even in the broader pens!(The streaks I am referring to are when you write with the gel pens but the letters aren't filled. My 9 and 5 year old love this sketch pad and markers. It is a unique coloring opportunity to be able to use black paper, and the novelty promoted a lot of new creativity. We also really enjoy using paint markers on these pages:)
