I use pelmeni maker from this seller for years and now bought this vareniki maker. It works great. Just made mushroom ravioli: no single ravioli opened during cooking.

I love perogies so I was hoping this would make them less time-consuming to make.Maybe it is just me, but I think making them by hand is faster and more satisfying.One – this is not very deep so you cannot “stuff” the perogies. You can barely put anything inside. If you add too much stuffing, then you cannot roll across the form without making a horrible mess.When you do roll across the form it takes a lot of pressure on your part to make the cuts. It is not easy, and it takes a lot of work to get all the pieces separated without tearing and ruining them.So, for now, I plan to still roll out my dough. Cut the circles and stuff them with filling one at a time.
