I use 11mm - 12.5mm rope at work. This ascender is rated to run 12.5 but it doesn’t, the rope comes out of it every few feet. You’ll end up just climbing without it and wearing it for no reason. Spend a little more and get the ninja ascender, it actually works.

While ascending, you have to reach down to get the rope to pull up to then take the next step. The rope falls out very easily as you do this. It needs a locking mechanism to prevent this. Making this a bad design. Works but you gotta be careful.

Very important. Use a carbiner in the hold intended to do so otherwise could leave you falling....the gate opened mid ascend thankfully I had a chest ascender on and a jumar hooked with a daisy chain ....be careful not a toy ladies and gents thanks.
