I bought this and from day one the power on was intermittent. Now it will not come on, it is cheap because it is cheap,, the power switch needs to be replaced. It saddens me to buy by chance that it is good, I should have sent it back.

It seems to work, although I have not tested it against a known/calibrated reference. However, mine too has a faulty on button: holding the button with a very slight pressure enables a reading, but then it's gone; there is no way to keep the meter on. Unfortunately, I had had no occasion to try it until after the return period. Lesson learned/memo to self: try cheap instruments as soon as they arrive!

I use Fluke most of the time, however I got this one to carry in my general tool bag. Works well and is accurate

Yup - just what the doctor ordered. Gone are the days of Waveform Generators and using known valued components to determine inductance or capacitance via resonance with an oscilloscope. I have cut down my calculating and verification time by 90% by using this device in my circuit designs where resonances are used.

This meter works just fine and it's cheap. Perfect for the electronics hobbyist. I've been using to get the proper inductance for home wound radio coils.

Tested with inductors and capacitors of known value in at least two ranges. Reads twice actual inductance and about 75% high on capacitance. Readings are also unstable (jumping around a lot) and readings drift slowly upwards. Useless! I shouldn't have held out much hope for a $30 meter, I guess.

Does the job well.. I had a couple of suppressors fora motorcycle radio that I had no idea of their value.. Was able to get there inductance with this.
