It works but the ends and plastic lense do not slide out smoothly. The plastic coating has a scratch but so far the actual tinted plastic does not, hopefully it doesn't scratch.

I got this visor for use in my FJ Cruiser on the driver's side. Unfortunately, it does not really help me at all. There are two main components to the visor, one better than the other. The pull-out shade that is on the bottom of the visor works okay. It does help me when the sun is lower. The biggest problem with the pull-out shade is that you are, generally, pulling it out with one hand while you are driving. When you do that, it comes out crooked, and it's hard to pull out. I don't want to have to worry about straightening it out while I am trying to drive somewhere. I noticed this company has another version of this visor that has a "zipper" knob you use to make this part go up and down. I imagine that works much better. The worst component of the visor is the "wings" on the left and right side The goal here, of course, is to block whatever your current visor doesn't cover. However, whether I am using my visor in the front or side position, it doesn't help me because the wings are WAY too short. I am thinking this visor might be better suited for a very small car of some kind, or at least one with very small visors. The materials themselves are what I would expect for an item like this, and are fine. But, the functionality just doesn't work for me at all.

First and foremost, measure your visor. Mine was a little too short for this and either bumped into the roof near the mirror or would slide off and become lopsided on the side near the door. With that being said, the tinted pull down visor does not completely go inside the unit which just leaves it sticking out maybe a little over a quarter inch over my visor. That alone drove me nuts and was the main deal breaker for me. Another thing to consider, if your roof dips down near the rearview mirror it will be tricky. If you have telescopic visors it can also be an issue. When I was putting on the unit it kept snagging on my roof which messed it up a little bit due to the lack of space between my roof and visor. You get what you pay for with this, not the best but not the worst. Overall, measure your visor and check the product dimensions.

I live in an area where my afternoon commute is often directly into the blinding sun. On the interstate, that can be a little dicey. I had no idea that this type of thing existed, and just searched for "visor extender." I’m very glad that this came up! It was very easy to install on the sun visor, and it doesn’t interfere with the mirror on it. It fits nice and tightly to the existing visor. My sunglasses with readers in the bottom of them are not polarized, so I’m glad that the pull down see-through part is polarized. The parts move fairly smoothly, and I can pull the polarized part down with one hand. This has made driving into the glaring sun so much safer! Thank you for inventing this!

This sun visor extender is well designed. The straps connect with velcro making installation simple and easy. The side slides are effective for blocking the sun beyond the length of the car's visor. The plastic shade that pulls down works beautifully to reduce glare and make driving into the sun more tolerable. Quality workmanship, well made, very effective results. Highly recommend.

This visor extender works great for keeping the sun out of my eyes where my regular visor can't block. I like that unlike other models, this one has extension pieces on both sides of the visor, so that if the sun is shining right in the little gap near the visor's hinge or behind your rearview mirror, you can easily block it.The polarizing shade is also handy for darkening and cutting out glare, especially if I forget to bring my sunglasses! It is still prone to fingerprints, despite what the product details state. I keep my hands clean and just touching it once left fingerprints.I feel this product could use some improvement in a couple places, those being as follows:1: The pull-out side extensions are hard to grip if I want to pull them out while driving, and the way they're shaped with a little tab that sticks out means that there is still a small spot where the sun can shine through —and it certainly has!— at the top corner of the windshield. I think if they had cut a notch out of the "leather" housing itself and put on grippier dots instead of making a pull-tab on the extension, it would both eliminate that small gap and make it easier to slide them out.2: The straps for securing it to your visor can be difficult to figure out on your first time installing it, and a side effect is it's hard to get the straps tight enough to where the extender won't slide left and right when I pull out the extension pieces. When I first installed it, it took me about 10 minutes, though I will say that when I took it off and reinstalled it a week later, I was able to install it much faster. It would help if the instructions were more detailed in wording and had bigger, clearer pictures.

This item was easy to attach to the sun visor in my car. The velcro straps are adjustable. The width is a bit smaller than my visor, but the pieces that slide in and out extend past the visor. It has been useful so far blocking the sun when it's coming through an awkward space. The see-through panel that pulls down is great when you're driving into the sun. It has helped me out already. It's not perfect because the sun always seems to find a way in, but it is a HUGE improvement over what I've been dealing with. The quality seems good. The main part is leathery and the panels that extend are plastic - solid on the sides and transparent on the bottom. The leathery part does seem like it might sag eventually, but I don't think it would affect usage. It comes with a microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints from the transparent part where smudges would impede your view of the road.
