Part 716316 was discontinued. This part (709589) is a prefect replacement. I received the new partnumber from the Velvac callcenter.

Thanks to a narrow toll booth heading Westbound on the Ohio Turnpike I had to replace this mirror. I was lucky compared to a few other RV's I saw on the road who lost their entire mirror assembly. This was the lower convex mirror assembly and it was even wired for heated mirrors if I had that option!I removed the old mount and replaced it with the one that came in this package. It fit perfectly. Then, the new mirror assembly snapped into place and I was back on the road.Moral of the story - slow down to almost standing still when going through Ohio toll booths.

Folks at the autoglass shop said they didn't have any and couldn't get any, but would install it if I could find one. They were surprised when I showed up with it and installed it right away. They said that they would pass the word to customers about where to find one. It was easy for them to install. They used their own adhesion goop. So far holding up to Wyoming weather and wind. Very much worth what it cost. Ordered on line and it showed up a few days later. Convenient for me.
