Wood had no chips or scratches. All hardware was included and didn’t take long to seal the pieces and assemble, and install in yard. Pretty! And got compliments from friendsI picked this arbor because it wasn’t flat square across the top, the roundness softens the look. The wood Canadian Hemlock is sturdy but pretty

First off, let me just say that I never write negative reviews. When I'm unhappy with service or a product, I simply take it as a lesson learned and do not do business with them anymore. However, the unprofessionalism in customer service needs to be made aware of. I ordered this very beautiful arch for my wedding, which unfortunately arrived damaged. When I contacted Amazon for a replacement part, they informed me I would need to contact the manufacturer, as they do not carry replacement parts (understandable). I contacted Merry Products, and the customer service is absolutely terrible and extremely dismissive. After their customer service rep tried to place the responsibility back on Amazon and give me the runaround, they asked me for a bunch of information regarding my purchase, most of which I had provided in my original email, just for them to tell me they could not send me a replacement part because they do not have my item's parts in stock. Meanwhile, I just purchased the arch less than a month ago. I sent them photos of my arch on several occasions, so if they knew they didn't have the item in stock anymore, why ask me for all the other information as if they were going to be of assistance? I would rate them a zero if I could. Avoid doing business with this company.

Easy to put together, I started the sides on the floor inside then moved outside to put the top on. It is probably easier with 2 people but I managed. Very nice quality. Be careful not to lose screws they don't send extras. LOVE IT!!

From step #2 the instructions didn't match the pieces of the kit. I was angry and assumed that pieces were missing, would've asked for a return but I was in a time window. So I finished building kit, with gaps in build, and then saw that pieces with completely different numbers would fit in gaps. As I didn't have time to tear the kit completely back down to re-start from step #2, I just left the gaps. It still works, but I'm upset that with a little Q&A, the company could've updated what must have been old instructions and not left me ending up with a half-finished product. There are other kits, I would shop for those.

I had planned on building my own arbor but with Covid, there wasn’t lumber available. This kit has the dimensions and the style I desired and was only about $20-30 more expensive than the lumber would have been. I can’t speak on the longevity of the product, but here is what I did and recommend.First, I used water sealant on every piece before I assembled. The directions recommend staining it every 2 years, but once it’s covered in hops bines, I didn’t consider that feasible. The kit went together easily. All the pieces were easily recognizable and were solid. One piece had a chunk knocked out of it but otherwise everything was in good condition during unboxing. The hardware was solid and I didn’t have to replace anything except the very small screws which were intended for the metal support stakes.I assembled the entire thing in the garage except for the support stakes. And then carried it to the site before attaching the stakes. I prepared the ground and dug small holes for each leg. I filled the holes with cement then put the arbor on a wooden support over the area so that the stakes were in the cement but the legs were not. I used large garden stakes to keep the arbor supported while the cement dried. Once it was dried I used paver base to surround the area so that the legs of the arbor would drain well and wouldn’t rot. After it was all done it appears solid and a very good trellis for my hop bines. If it works well, might buy. Couple more as it looks very nice, is solid and will definitely do the trick for what I needed.

This is a nice arbor, very plain and pretty solid. Took me about 3 hours to assemble, EACH piece is loose in the box, even the cross pieces have to be put together. All done with screws and pre-drilled holes. Instructions are all pictures, no explanation or written instructions. Fairly easy to follow, but pay close attention to every number and every hole location, or you will end up taking things apart and turning them around. My only real gripe is the listed dimensions. This arbor does NOT have a 79" clearance. 79" is the height to the TOP of the TOP cross piece, which is 4" wide, so your clearance is 75". Which is okay unless you are 6'3" like I am, so I will sit this on bricks to raise it up 2". Also, the width is listed as 60". That is the width of the TOP cross piece. The actual inside width dimension is 46". Not as important to me as the height, but still misleading. All in all, I'm glad I ordered one that was reduced in price because the box was damaged, which makes it worth the discrepancies. I guess.UPDATE: Moved this to another location and built a raised garden box on each side, which I then sat the arbor on. Now it's at a much better height and looks like it belongs. And now I love it, but it took some adjusting.
