When used properly it is both safe and environmentally friendly. Wood is typically still wet when its delivered to the job site. As it dries, you should expect slight changes in width and length. As lumber dries, it may split, cup and warp. This is more likely to occur to occur in lower-grade boards, where knots and uneven grains are already present

Third piece I purchased from this supplier. First two were great. This one is really bad! There is a 3/4" wide by 1/2" deep knot hole about 8 1/2" in from one end. I can't wait for a replacement and will have to come up with some way to work with this. Pretty unhappy!!!

The board is as described. The packaging is not very good. It was wrapped in black plastic only. What ever it gets bumped by will leave marks. Luckily I have other plans for this piece, so a few bumps won't hurt. If you are expecting a pristine piece of lumber you are likely to be disappointed. Board should make a petty piece when I'm done with it. Nice color.
