This is a simple lock for light needs. It isn't going to stop any pro or anyone with real motivation or any tools like wire cutters, I don't think. But it's great for basic security or even just to use as a deterrent. I found it easy to use and program.I got this because we travel a lot in the summer, doing road trips with our kids. When we are between one place and another and we stop to get out and see something, we still have all of our suitcases visible in the back of our minivan, so I like to put a cord lock through the handles just to deter anyone who's looking to do a quick smash and grab. This would work well enough for that, but I guess I didn't really measure out my needs because the longest length still isn't quite enough, but that's not the seller's fault; they listed everything very precisely.

Ok, so the Manual print is way too small for my eyes to read, but I have a pretty good idea of how these locks work in general. The replaceable cable part is a little different for me, but still all the same, one long cable and 2 shorter ones. It comes with 2 slider buttons, one for setting the new code (0000 is the default) at the front and another slider on the back for replacing the accessory or cable. One thing to note is just be a little careful if you are using the tiny included screwdriver to slide these buttons, it's quite pointed or sharp so don't hurt yourself since the buttons or sliders are a little sticky to slide. This is not about the screwdriver :), but just saying... Anyway, if you have a better tool for this close by, then by all means use that. The lock itself is good, metal case, and does not feel lightweight or cheap at all. The cables are very strong, but I have not tried using a wire cutter to test on these since they are more than sufficient for my uses. The good thing is that this comes with a 4-digit combination and not 3; those 3-digit combination locks are so easy to crack. Resetting the combination was easy, just like most others. Enter the old combo, slide the slider button over, set your new combination, slide back the button to set, and that should do it. This will be my new lock for my bike for sure, replacing my older less secured one.

This lock came with 3 different length options for the cord which is nice but the cord is pretty thin. I’m not sure if they could be easily cut they look thin. The lock itself is very nice and easy to program. Using this for a bicycle in case I want to run into a store when I’m in a ride so it should be good enough for what I need.

This lock with interchangeable cables is pretty neat. The combination was easy to set, and has four numbers, which is one more than the usual three. I think it's great to be able to switch the length of the cable for your use. Sometimes you just need to lock up a backpack or bike helmet to a fixed object, and the shorter cables are fine for that. The longer one is 2 feet long, which is pretty good for most things except for a bicycle. The lock seems easy enough to use without too much work on my part.

Once it's set and you've installed the cable you want, the dials rotate freely and it operates fairly smoothly. The cables aren't crimped consistently, on a few the rubber coating is cut short. It isn't a very secure lock, a small cable cutter would easily cut the cable. The latches are spring loaded so you can open it with a shim. It would be good for a low security use like child proofing or low risk access control.

It’s pretty straightforward and the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I do wish the longest cable was longer though. It’s quite a bit shorter than a typical bike cable lock.

This lock worked. But it was hard to move the settings, even with the tool they gave you.The cable is a good thick/strong one. Extra cables. (But not as long as I hoped. I wanted to lock a few suitcase handles together.)The top dial would freeze up. I'm inside a dry house. How would this work out in varying weather? You need to pull out the cable when it's unlocked. It doesn't spring out. So you need 2 free hands to open it.I find it doesn't operate smooth enough where I'd want to get any more of this brand. Probably won't use this one.
