This is so much easier to clean than the metal versions, but I took away a star because the bottom isn’t glazed and is more difficult to clean and stains immediately.

Incredibly sturdy, and so much better than the wire ones. I did cook it at a higher temperature and longer than the recipe book suggested, but it was easily the best roast we've ever achieved. We've tried cooking both a chicken and duck. Crispy skin, tender and moist meat, even cook throughout.(Edited after several uses) Took away one star and adding a small user warning when using. During the cooking, it gets suctioned onto whatever pan it’s on. Much of the juice is pulled inside during the cooking process. It eventually comes off once it’s completely cooled, but if you want to use the juice to make gravy right away, this aspect is kind of a drag. Anyway, if you’re looking for an economically priced solution, and way easier to store over a full iron chicken roasting pan, this served us well.

I have cooked chicken and Peking Duck using the CeramiCooker to ravingreviews by guests and family. I also used it in the preparation of the duck.Great product: easy to use and clean and the bird does not stick to it. Fatdrains to the pan below. Added small amount of water to pan before cookingand no splatter. I found cooking at 350-375 in a convection ovengave best results and more control on temperature of meat.I have two of this product. Seller is great to work with.

Well, I just used this for the first time yesterday and worked very well with a 4 1/2 pound chicken. I placed it in a (cake) baking pan and the base was very stable. I added about 1/2 inch of water to the pan and cooked 350 degrees for an hour and a half. The chicken came out nice and juicy with crispy skin. The porcelain is perfectly smooth and, unlike other vertical roasters with interlacing wire designs, was as easy as pie to clean. I hand washed but it will also go in the dishwasher. I picked it for that reason and it didn't disappoint.

Very well made product. Works well with just about any size bird. Easily washable and heavy duty. Hollow on the inside to allow for the bird to cook from the inside and out simultaneously. They look the part too; if that matters. The only thing I would change is to add a hole at the top to allow for the juices to drain. Do it yourself and don't spend the money on more expensive roasters. This is only a problem on larger birds that are bigger than the roaster is tall. It's kind of messy otherwise and you risk parts of the bird being under done.

Great product. Better than the wire ones. I had an old wire vertical roaster than finally rusted and then replaced it with a new wire one. But, the diameter of the new one was small enough that it poked through the chicken neck. So, I go this ceramic roaster and I like it better than either of the wire ones. The pottery is easier to clean and it is thicker, so the chicken does not fall through the roaster.
