About this item

  • MENS TACTICAL BELT - Designed by Unity Tactical, the Clutch is a modular multipurpose utility belt platform ideal for CCW or concealed carry missions
  • MISSION BELTS FOR MEN - Vertx has created a tactical belt to carry a full-size tactical gear, multiple re-loads, radio, IFAK and much more, allowing the user to carry larger hardware on a mission
  • MODULAR AND MULTIPURPOSE - The Unity Clutch Belt can be configured to make it work for tactical gear, EDC gear, concealed carry, preparedness or survival gear.
  • CUSTOM FIT - The two way stretch of Vertx's tactical belts for men will let the platform belt hug the body allowing for a custom fit and increased comfort
  • CONCEALED CARRY - The slim design of this tactical belt allows concealment for covert operations and comfort on overt missions

The Vertx Clutch designed by Unity Tactical has been crafted to make loadout disappear under civilian clothing. A must-have system for anyone conducting low vis or undercover operations. The go belt functionality on the tactical belt allows for rapid donning when the seconds count. The utility belt is fitted with hook and loop front closure and adjustable elasticated shock-cord for a customizable fit. The Vertx tactical belts for men also include 4 sticky-sided hook strips for securing tools and accessories inside Clutch cells. Two cells equipped with a bottom hook and loop closure for carriage of larger tactical gear and padded cells also provide additional comfort under a heavy loadout. This mission belt also has laser-cut slits in no-slip lining allowing the clutch to be secured on the belt with hook and loop or for covert storage of tools.

The modular nature of the Vertx Clutch tactical pistol belt means it will be ideal to use as an EDC belt, gun holster belt, or belt to hold hunting and survival gear. A two-way stretch will give a custom fit by letting the pistol, ammo, and EDC gear belt hug the body. A low profile to the tactical belt allows for easier concealed carry under plain clothes.

The construction of the tactical belt has been meticulously designed by Unity Tactical in conjunction with Vertx. There is a no-slip backing preventing sagging under the weight of gear. Hook and loop lined cells easily secure key items. Abrasion-resistant fabric will not pill, pick or lose shape.

I was worried of the quality when settling for the Made In China version of the Unity Tactical Clutch, but it's made well enough and works as intended.

As someone who carries everyday, I am always looking for alternative and more comfortable ways to carry. I am the CCW version of the person who is always buying stuff on QVC or HSN late at night! LOL.Saw some videos on the Clutch Belt and decided to try it. Initially, my thought was to use it like a belly band, so I didn’t need to wear a thick CCW style belt. Read some of the reviews and have to admit that I should have heeded some of the advice. Like another reviewer mentioned, this is probably not a good option for fat guys! Flat bellies will have options as far as using this in different positions and heights, ranging from hips to chest, essentially. As a chunkier guy, if I use the Clutch Belt just above my hips, but below my belly, as I do with most AIWB holsters, the butt of the gun pushes outward and prints big time. Add to the fact that it is pretty thick already, and it accentuates my midsection in addition to helping the gun to print. “Hey guy, I have a gun on! You want it?” LOL. The only way I can control the printing is by wearing a belt, which defeats the purpose of using this in the first place. They tout this as being suitable for full size guns like a Glock 17, but I think it’s better suited to smaller guns like the 365 in a covert application. The bigger, heavier, and longer the gun, the more it wants to push out and print. Some of the pockets have open bottoms, but they are the same width as the others, which can make holster size/width an issue. Looking at the holster for my 226 Legion with an X300 and the pockets on the Clutch Belt, makes me chuckle. Not all, of it is bad. The Clutch Belt is well constructed, as are most Vertx products. And as I said, if you are a slimmer or athletically built person, then this could work for you. I think where the Clutch Belt shines, and where I will be actually using it, is in a “go bag” type of role. I can throw this on in an overt application, like responding to an active shooter while assigned to a plain clothes assignment or in a truck/trunk bag role, where it can be donned quickly if there is some type of critical incident. There is room for extra mags, IFAKs, tourniquet, knife, radio, etc. Just slap it on and go. Still a little bulky when fully loaded up, but in an overt capacity, it’s not that big of a deal.I wish this worked better for me, but at least I found a good use for this and it isn’t a total loss. Of course, we are all built different and have different expectations or experiences, so your mileage may vary.

This thing is the biggest waste of time and energy you could imagine. First off — it’s not comfortable. You won’t use it unless it’s practically comfortable. Second — it doesn’t matter where you put it. High ride, low ride it’s all the same. It feels awkward. I put a p365 (smallest I have) in this rig with or without holster its print city. Literally EVERY part of the pew shows. Picture the tightest spandex over the top of the pew detailing every bit of what you have.I really wanted this to work but it just won’t. If you wear scrubs this is a no go.

Really liking this belt. I like belly bands in general. Real comfortable to carry all sorts of gear in gym clothes. Each cell has loopside velcro of which you can affix hard shell holster, mag holders, etc with hook side velcro adhered. Vertx also sells velcro accessories for this. 5 stars!

Stays in place, great quality, but you need to purchase 1 or 2 of their insert sets. Will not hold mags or other gear in pockets without. That said, a great piece of kit. The included velcro will be needed to secure a holster if that is what you intend to do. Use kydex holster. Large guns are pointless. Compacts and subcompacts work best.

This item brings a whole new meaning to the term "muffin top".I think this is a well made item. I'd love to use it, but the sizing charts that VertX provide are inaccurate. The overall length of this belt in large size is 47" unloaded. The sizing chart on VertX's website shows the loaded length is 47" and the unloaded length is 51". It might be 51" if you fully stretch it and wear it like a lady wore a corset during the Civil War. At this point the sight of you pulling up your shirt to draw would scare the bad guy more than the gun in your hand. Also the sizing doesn't take into account that you have to overlap the ends to engage the velcro. This steals more inches from the sizing. Realistically your gut (not your waist) is going to have to be around 42" for the large to fit you when the belt is loaded. In short, measure your belly not your waist when ordering this, apparently us guys who don't look like Lucas Botkin don't get to be "tactical". ;) This would be a 5 star product if they provided accurate sizing information.
