Shoes are very comfy after broken in (about a month of use). Had to superglue 2 quarter-sized areas of felt sole back onto bottom of shoe (one area on the heel soon after purchase, one area by the outside toe bed about 5 months later) but it stayed on nicely afterward.

As a first-time dancer, I can honestly say that these lightweight, comfortable shoes actually improved my dancing! (Unsolicited, my "Salsa Sensei" said the same thing after watching me social dance in these the first time!) The perforated style I chose is just a bit different enough from the standard men's dance shoe, and you can easily wear them with jeans or dress pants. I also chose these for the lower, 1" heel as I like to dance on the balls of my feet, (with my heel slightly off the ground at times,) plus, i'm tall and really don't need any extra height. The heel is also suede covered and gives good stopping traction, or enough of a "click" sound if you need that. If you are still wearing street shoes to socials and practice, do yourself a favor and get a pair of these. They are versatile and reasonably priced and the package came with an advertised shoe wire brush and an unadvertised bag. Also, the seller was responsive to my email inquiry to expedite my order, (providing follow-ups and a tracking number,) and i received the shoes in under the stated timeframe.
