So, I have several Vevor lifts in use in my workshop. I made a personal lift to take me up to my loft in my workshop that is about 9' off the ground. I was using the PA400 with the stainless steel wire cable, but after several years of use, the cable began to fray. Vevor DOES NOT sell replacement parts - you have to purchase the WHOLE UNIT again to just replace the cabling which to me is kinda dumb.Since I could not get the replacement cabling, and to be honest, the fraying cable made me very uncomfortable reusing again, I decided to go with something a little more beefier - Chain.I had to do a little finigling, but I was able to make it work and not its great and I don't worry about the chain breaking on me. I admit its a little slower than the wired lift, but I feel much safer.I'm only giving this unit Four Stars because 1) I just put it in and time will tell, 2) Vevor offers NO REPLACEMENT Parts.Best of luck.

the chain bag is mounted too close to the working chain and it rubs on the bag and the bracket as it moves up and down perhaps because it is not balanced. if I tile the uint to be level then it is in the correct locationI had to remount the chain bag to not hit the lifting chain. Also it would be nice to have an option to stop the top swivel hook so that the cables do not get tangled. Or even a trolly mount and no top hook

I purchased this engine hoist and received it early May '24. It stopped working in July '24. $464.39 for a hoist that stops working in less than 3 months is not a good deal. I contacted support. The phone number was disconnected. My emails to their support are being ignored. Very frustrating.*** Don't Waste Your Money ***
