Bought this knowing the quality of most of Vevor's items, but I had this fleeting thought that maybe, just maybe, this one might be built different. I was wrong. There were absolutely zero instructions on how to assemble the base, which comes in approximately 24 pieces. Finally figured that out and went to plug in the machine...pushed the power on button and the thermal protection for the motor tripped without the saw making one full revolution. Kept tripping off and on...Well, apparently, with the absolute lack of information in the manual and customer support, I figured out that the adjustable pulley was set to it's maximum speed, which was overloading the motor. After messing around with it and checking every electrical connection I could find, that was the only thing that was sensible. It worked, but I say all this to say that if you want a 14" bandsaw that you will most definitely have issues with the motor in the first year and have to replace it with a decently constructed one, get this sucker!!If you don't want to hassle with replacing primary parts on your saw within the first year of use...go with Grizzly, Jet, Delta, or any other decent brand on the market.I will use this one for now, because I was told that I would have to pay shipping to return it, which I refuse and I'll upgrade it as needed till it works the way I want it to...but caveat emptor...buyer beware! It's typical Vevor quality, which is absolute trash...unfortunately.

Saw does not work in a very dangerous manner. Plug in, press start and the saw runs sluggishly for up to approx 10 seconds, then stops. After about another 20 seconds, without any warning, the saw starts running again! Very dangerous. This cycle repeats, runs 10 seconds, stops for 20 seconds then just starts running again. Surprised the latched power switch doesn't rip. Oh yeah, the Stop switch DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. Pressing the Stop button manually or clamping the E-Stop cover doe s NOT stop the saw. Whole saw and especially switch must be wired incorrectly. Extremely dangerous. It is possible / likely the reseller for this unit made changes or finished the power wiring incorrectly. I know Vevor saws work, but don't buy the discounted $698.99 unit from that seller (who may change names often to avoid "issues")

It's been two months since I bought this, and it still isn't working. I've had many back-and-forths with customer service, but they keep sending the same unhelpful messages. The tension system has problems, and the system won't start. I asked them to send me pictures of a working tension system, but the images they provided were clearly sourced online and had poor visibility due to background light. When I asked for clearer pictures, they simply told me to "just screw the product in," completely ignoring my request. It seems they are trying to delay responses until the return deadline passes. My rating is primarily based on the seller's behavior. The product itself has issues, but with proper support, they could have been resolved easily. Additionally, the seller seems clueless about their product. When I first mentioned the "tension system," they responded as if they had no idea what I was talking about and asked me to send pictures instead.

The bandsaw came with an owner's manual, but no assembly instructions. I was able to piece together the cabinet because I'm not an idiot, but instructions would've been nice. I tried to resaw a scrap piece of 4x4 out of the box and immediately threw the blade. The saw was not set up very well from the manufacturer, and the manual doesn't cover setting the bushings in great detail, so again, Vevor is lacking in instructions. I have the saw set up now as good as I can get it for now (had to stop for dinner), but the blade still wanders some, not nearly as bad as it did out of the box, but there are still some adjustments to make.I feel like a saw this size should have more power, I felt like I was pushing on the 4"x4" block way too hard to get it through the cut. The blade is low quality Chinese steel, so a good blade is a must with this saw. The light is practically useless, it isn't bright at all and will not stay in any position you put it in.Overall it is a decent bandsaw, maybe a little underpowered, but it will work for what I am using it for...as soon as I can get it dialed in properly.

this is quite a machine. the hardest thing, re assembly, was the base cabinet to the unit itself. but, then again, i'm a crippled up old man, making it hard to get on the shop floor and roll around trying to get to that screw in the far inside upper corner. i would have paid an extra $100 for someone to have put it together for me. regardless, the band saw is heavy and extremely solid. the motor reaches top speed almost instantly. the flexible light is weak, and useless, i'll have to replace it. it would be nice if the table was made of cast iron. however, it is made of pressed steel that is 3/16" thick, again, not cast but barely adequate. all in all, i'll give it a 5 star rating. mainly because i was tickled pink to get it. it's a beauty and the price is right. my older brother bought a powermatic for the twice the amount. HA! his loss. oh, by the way, there were 2 parts left over and neither were in the book. perhaps vevor will reach out and explain where they go. i can't wait to put this through it's paces. i have hundreds of bowl blanks to cut up and store. thank you, vevor...but put a decent table with it, ok?
