Worked perfectly for what I had to due. Was better than renting one. Surprised me, have continued to use on other projects.

Easy dig out ginny grass. Digging a large small or deep hole is no problem. Heavy duty quality built. A minor consideration is it's heavy. What jack hammer isn't heavy? I recommend this hammer for your next project.

I came across this tool on sale during Amazon Prime Days recently. After seeing a YouTuber clear a space under his house for a basement with one of these, I decided to place an order. I need to excavate material in my yard like compacted ground, stumps, rock, and debris and had no option for anything more than hand tools due to limited space. I am a DIY'er and like the satisfaction of getting a job done with minimal cost, the way that I want it done. Last night, I used the spade bit to terrace a slope. It worked like a charm! It was fast, easy to use, and powerful enough to cut right thru compacted dirt, gravel and rock. I am not a big guy but I had not problem maneuvering it. I cannot wait to see how it performs at unearthing an old live oak stump I want to take out of my back yard. Side note: I need to make sure I am clear on how to keep this tool properly oiled and running. The manual is limited on documentation. I will be checking with the YouTubers on that. Go forth and demolish!

I received this machine about a week ago. I wish I'd have opened it immediately as it did not have any bits included in the package. I have a concrete pour about to happen on Monday (in three days), and I needed this machine to break up a slab over these next three days. Since it didn't have any bits included (which it should have), I was forced to run to the local hardware stores to find a replacement bit. Unfortunately, the bit type this machine uses is not commonly carried in stores in the US. I was lucky that a friend happened to have a bit of this type from an old machine he tossed. I started working and after a little while, this machine would start making some concerning rattling sounds that are not normal for a demo hammer like this. I tried to use it for a total of two hours, giving it a break every 10 mins or so, but the rattling kept happening. I'm not sure if something broke internally or got out of alignment or what, but it was bad enough I consider it to be unsafe. So I ended up buying a Bosch at the store just to get this job done (at nearly twice the price).I don't know what happened here, but I've owned numerous other Vevor products in the past and I've never had a problem like this. They've always been of decent quality in my experiences.

I have used many hammers, and worn one of these out before (complete catastrophic breakup of the case casting) and still purchased another one. It is inexpensive (cheap!). My "soil" is nearly 100% lava rock, and I WORK it with this genre hammer. Complaints I have read in other reviews include "It bleeds oil!" --(Yes, when you overheat ANY hammer, it will bleed oil). Also "It just stopped hammering!" (This usually means you are limp-wristing it, and its inner slide hammer is not getting enough back-pressure on it to engage action-- solution: BE FIRM--not heavy, with it!) Also "The cap screws came loose!" (Yeah. That'll usually happen with a cheap hammer on about hour 24 or so... BUT, you CAN tighten them!!) A little maintenance effort should be expected. If you DOUBT the VALUE, go and compare a big-box store rental of a hammer for just over $100/day, and you will have to agree that ANYTHING over 3 days' service from one of these hammers equals FREE MONEY in your pocket. When it does fall apart, if its not fixable, I add up the days beyond 3 that I abused it... and GLOAT. I have owned "the best" that cost thousands of $$ and experienced (a little later) the SAME failures! Don't complain when it's an economy hammer...

I really wasn't expecting much from this thing but the total cost was less than renting a jackhammer from Home Depot. I was pleasantly surprised on how well it performed, not too heavy and it powered through my concrete slab. My only real issue was it kept shaking some of the bolts loose but a few dabs of threadlock fixed that real quick.

This jackhammer lasted 20 hours. Worked great for the first 15 hours then the power started fading and got to the point you had to shake to get it to start again. Checked all connections and where good, cleaned the points in the trigger switch, checked the brushes and where good. Used this to dig out for a basement after I got home from work at most ran for only 30 minutes at a time once a or twice a day. I don't recommend this product.

This is a huge, heavy tool. It's much more machine than I expected for the price. I needed it to cut deeply into heavy clay soil. The shovel attachment worked great. I'm having a hard time tightening the grip handle into position, but not a problem that it swivels on me. The oil leaks a bit out of the cover plate over the filker well because the plate flexes. After I tighten the four corners, the plate bows between the screws. So I just need to always set it down so that the oil filler well faces up. BE SURE TO BUY OIL AHEAD of the delivery of the jack hammer. It may be hard to find, and you CANNOT use the tool until you add the oil. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. It accomplishes a task in minutes that used to take hours with a pickaxe. Wish I had bought it years ago.
