The good:Motor is high speed and vibration free. It has a quality feel.A good assortment of the most likely cutters you will need to sharpen a chain.Cutters seem to hold up well. I have used the 4.5mm on a couple of chains and it is still cutting well.You can get the cutters just as sharp as with a file.The bad:OK, the sharpening guide is kind of useless. You can't adjust the depth of cut. There were some instructions in the box but they were impossible to understand. The instructions may have been a different sharpening guide. I used it without the guide. Problem is you can only do that a couple of time before you have to regrind the chain to get the proper depth and cutting angle back.

Works great, makes quick work of sharpening, use it on my limb pole saw and circular brush blade, got me back to work much faster than a file.

Sharpening a chainsaw, and getting the exact angle on both sides isn't easy. If the tooth angles don't match, the saw may be sharp but cuts atva curve and binds your saw. This tool makes an easy job of sharpening a chainsaw and getting your tooth angle right, and it's significantly quicker than sharpeners that clamp on the bar.
