It’s a good little hook that will work when dropped down to anchor the paddle board or the kayak or to anchorage on the shore I’m very impressed with the length of the court

I 100% Recommend this product. Took it out on my SUP board and it's so easy, lightweight, and bright green, And when it opens it grabs the bottom of the Lake Rocks, Or whatever it can lock onto. Approx. 8 lbs. With 27.5 feet of rope either a float. Love that it has its own case. And a very sturdy carabiner to hook onto your board. STURDY, RELIABLE, EASY TO RETRIEVE AND PUT AWAY. Had a few people ask me where I got it!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. held sturdy even with the wind.

I love being able to stay still when needed on my kayak and paddle board. This works so well and small enough to keep in trunk or with your lake stuff easy

Fishing in a kayak can be lots of fun. You can get very close to obstructions and bedding places and can go into very shallow water. However, with most kayaks it seems that the slightest breeze can move you from where you want to be to somewhere you definitely don't want to be. So, on a breezy day you may find yourself doing more paddling than fishing. The answer is a kayak anchor.I had been wanting a kayak anchor for some time, but couldn't settle on one. When I saw this 3.5 lb folding anchor, I decided to take the plunge. The anchor is made of cast iron, and is generously painted with thick green paint. The paint coverage is even, leaving none of the metal exposed. The ring that secures the tines in either the up or down position is easy to manipulate and positively locks everything in the closed position. In the open position, the ring is more loose, but I suppose this does not matter as much because the anchor will be engaged and will not fold under those conditions. The anchor comes with a little over 26' of nylon rope that is threaded through a buoy and terminates at a clip that you can use to attach to the kayak. All of this comes in a padded bag with at drawstring top. This is nice because it not only gives you somewhere to store the gear, but also helps to prevent from the anchor or other hardware from scratching/ damaging the kayak when stowed. One of my issues here is that I would have liked for the manufacturer to provide more rope. Some of the places I go get close to 20' deep in some areas, and that does not leave a lot of rope to allow for some drift. I can, and very well may, add some rope when I go to those places, but 35-40' of rope would seem to be more appropriate. In addition, the bag that they give you is barely long enough to fully cover the anchor length. I could not get the drawstring top fully closed over the anchor. Another 1-2" of material would have fixed this problem. My final analysis here is that this is a great little anchor, and will perform well in holding a kayak in place when deployed and will fold up and stow easily when not in use. The rope and bag issues notwithstanding, I would still recommend this anchor.

I do a lot of paddle boarding and kayaking. The anchor comes in a convenient bag and is very easy to hall on a kayak or paddle board. The claws do a great job of keeping you in place and the buoy is nice in case you drop it in the water without connecting it to the boat. Very good quality and design.

I have not used, but an anchor should come in handy for my kayak and I know Vevor quality from a winch I purchased from them.
