When I did a LS1 swap there were several items that needed to be resolved. Rerouting the steam line was one. On the blogs there were several solutions but this one seemed the best. While this unit was originally designed to screw a water temp gauge to, I instead installed a brass 90* fitting with a 3/8ths barb. I ran the steam line hose from cylinder #1 to the joint pipe thus allowing any trapped air to be bleed into the radiator and on the the pressurized overflow. Lower temperature in the engine means this is a great value!! thank you
